Our Hearts For Autism

Support that’s personal. Service that cares.

At Edsel’s Heating and Air, our mission goes beyond HVAC — it’s about creating safe, comfortable spaces for all families. As a family-owned business, we understand the unique challenges many parents face, especially when raising children on the autism spectrum. That’s why we launched Our Hearts for Autism, a service-minded initiative built on empathy, patience, and respect.

What We Offer:

  • $20 Off Any Repair or Maintenance for first-time Our Hearts For Autism families.

  • $15 Off for You & a Friend when you refer another family in the autism community.

Builds connection and encourages trust-based growth.

  • For Hearts of Autism families, we waive the after-hours emergency service fee once per year — no questions asked.

Great for families dealing with unexpected breakdowns and strict sensory schedules.

  • No loud knocking or rushed conversations. We text before arriving and adjust our tone to meet your comfort level.

  • We accommodate sensory schedules.

As part of our Hearts of Autism initiative, we’re happy to waive one last-minute cancellation per year for families in our program — because we understand that life happens.

  • We explain everything step-by-step and never pressure you into services you don’t need.

Minimal Disruption Service

We understand that HVAC visits can feel intrusive — especially in homes with children, sensory sensitivities, or set routines. That’s why we take extra care to provide service that’s respectful, quiet, and minimally disruptive.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Indoor boot covers worn at all times

  • No furniture moved unless necessary — and only with your permission

  • Consistent airflow and sound control to avoid sudden changes

  • Pre-planned tool placement to reduce movement and clutter

  • Gentle, clear communication every step of the way

If your household would benefit from this approach, just let us know when booking — we’re happy to accommodate.

Lighting & Noise Awareness

We take extra care to create a calm environment during service visits — especially for clients with sensory sensitivities or neurodiverse needs.

Here’s how we stay mindful:

  • We minimize use of bright flashlights and avoid sudden lighting changes

  • Loud tool use is limited whenever possible — and we always let you know before any loud noise occurs

  • We take steps to reduce the impact of system startups or airflow changes

If lighting or sound is a concern in your household, just let us know in advance — we're happy to adjust.

Visual or Written Communication

Clear, predictable communication helps everyone feel more at ease — especially those who benefit from visual cues or routine-based planning.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Written summaries of what to expect before our visit — sent via text or email

  • Visual aids or simple social stories available upon request to help prepare children or individuals with autism

  • Step-by-step updates provided in your preferred communication style

If a written or visual preview would make the visit easier, just let us know when booking — we’re happy to accommodate your needs.

There’s no application, no registration, and no proof required. We trust that if you find yourself reading this page — this offer is meant for you.

Just let us know when you call or book: “We’d like to use the autism support program.” That’s all we need.

From Our Family to Yours

We know the days can be long. We know routines matter. We know how much peace of mind can mean — especially when something in your home isn’t working the way it should.

So we’re showing up not just as techs — but as a family that understands.

Thank you for letting us serve you.
